The Songwriting School of Los Angeles is offering an open, donation-based class, On-Campus & Online, designed to empower passionate songwriters with the skills & awareness to write songs of social consequence. This non-partisan class will meet monthly, ongoing, starting February 2018.
The mission of SONGS OF SOCIAL CHANGE is to enlist the considerable heart, character, insight, perception, and talent of the larger songwriting community both in and beyond Los Angeles to improve the honest dialog in our country and in the world, to create better understanding where differences exist, and to advocate boldly for those whose voices need hearing. This is non-partisan work. This is people work--work on behalf of making music that might be timely and might become timeless.

Class meets on-campus & online with full archives available for review. There will not be a tuition required for this open class. There will be opportunities to donate to support this program during the course.
Class will meet in-person at The Songwriting School of Los Angeles, in Burbank, CA and be both broadcast live and archived at a secure site for class members. There will be lectures, assignments, and opportunities for collaboration, peer review, and song pitching.
Community is about connection. Wherever you live, connect with our community here and online via live-streaming, video conferencing, and the archived access to all class content online. There will be online interactive opportunities, the chance to submit songs, and more.
Class will be led by some of the finest songwriters and instructors of craft in many different genres and by some of the thought leaders in our society who can inform the passionate and equip you with an understanding of issues. In this way we will connect the artful skills of timely and timeless songcraft to the real people, issues, and causes which deserve and demand a thoughtful, artful conversation.
The foundational course for songwriting at The Songwriting School. Graduates have included 3 Grammy Nominees, Billboard Charting artists, current & former major label talent...AND those writing their very first songs, or the first songs that truly mattered to them. All are welcome.

A class aimed mainly at independent artists to develop the core understanding of the ever-shifting music business in real-time and to develop an actionable plan to define, refine, develop & deliver memorably the brand of you and your art. Taught by Ne-Yo's head of Publishing & Licensing at Compound Entertainment, On-Campus & Online.
